Wanderpress

Privacy Policy

Wanderpress turns a travel photo into a press and keeps the collection. That is the only reason it holds anything of yours, and nothing below is written to leave room for something else later.

Your account

Signing in is handled by Clerk, our authentication provider. They hold your email address, and that is what tells us which presses are yours. We do not send marketing email.

Your photographs

A photo you choose is uploaded and stored on our servers so your Field Book survives a reinstall and follows you to a new phone. The original is written once and never overwritten, never cropped in place and never redrawn. Only your account can read it. We do not look through them.

Making the stamp

To make a stamp for a press, a copy of your photo reduced to 512 pixels on its longest edge is sent to two providers: Anthropic, to read what is in the picture, and OpenAI, to carve the stamp itself. Your full resolution original is never sent to either. Both are business API providers who do not train their models on what passes through them. What comes back to us is a short description and a stamp image, and those are what we keep.

Where the photo was taken

If your photo carries GPS coordinates, those coordinates are sent to Nominatim, the OpenStreetMap geocoder, to turn them into a place name. They are not told who you are. You always confirm or correct the place before a press is made, and if there are no coordinates you simply type it. The place name on a press is yours, not a guess.

What we do not do

If any of that changes, this page changes with it before the change ships, not afterwards.

Deleting your data

Deleting a press removes it and the photograph behind it. Its number stays retired, because a lifetime number is never given twice, but nothing of yours remains in it. To have everything removed at once, email hello@wanderpress.app and we will delete the account and confirm when it is done.

Who holds it

The data controller is Elysium Ventures LLC. Questions, requests, or anything you think this page gets wrong: hello@wanderpress.app.
